FAQs

Abilene Premier Eye Care – Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long will my eye appointment take?

A. For a new patient, the appointment will take about 1-2 hours. For established patients, the appointment will take around 30 minutes to 1 hour. As in all doctor offices, we do occasionally get behind. We do make every effort to stay on time.

Q. What do I need to bring to my appointment?

A. Please bring a list of all your medications. We also ask that you bring the actual bottles of drops you are using. If you are a new patient, also bring a photo ID and your insurance card(s)

Q. What Insurances do you take?

A. Please click here to see list of insurances that we accept.

Q. Am I required to pay when I check in?

A. Yes. Co-Pays on all patients will be collected at check in. New patients are required to pay for the visit in full at the time of service. Established patients may have the option to set up a payment plan as long as their account is in good standing.

Q. If my insurance requires a referral from my PCP, is it my responsibility to get it?

A. Yes. You will need to contact your PCP prior to your appointment and let them know that you will need a referral faxed to our office. If the referral is not received prior to your appointment, you will need to sign a waiver before we can see you. You may also reschedule your appointment if you do not wish to sign the waiver.

Q. What do I do if I am unable to make my appointment?

A. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to make your appointment. We would prefer at least 24 hour notice, but we understand that sometimes conflicts do arise at the last minute. We do request that you let us know you will be unable to make your appointment rather than not showing up.
